FOURTH IN THE PARK
Where: Glover Park - Marietta Square
When: 7/4/2008 - 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Celebrate July 4th with the City of Marietta! Festivities kick off with the Marietta Freedom Parade at 10:00 AM followed by the Fourth in the Park in the Marietta Square. Games, food, entertainment, arts and crafts will fill the Square.
FANTASTIC FOURTH CELEBRATION
Where: Stone Mountain Park
When: July 3-5
Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy all the Park attractions for the day. Please note that there will be no free Park re-entry allowed. Special Event Parking fees will be in effect July 3-5: $10.00 per vehicle (14 or fewer passengers) for a one-time permit or $35 for an annual permit. Guests who leave the Park on July 4th and then wish to return will have to re-pay the $10.00 Park entry fee. Due to heavy vehicle traffic the entrance gates to the park could close at any time. Please call 770.498.5690 on the day of your visit for operational updates.
CONYERS FABULOUS FOURTH
Where: Georgia International Horse Park
When: Friday, July 4 beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Highlights of this year's celebration include entertainment, free patriotic crafts for children presented by Stone Mountain Ministries, arts, crafts and vendors. You can also choose your favorite Corvette at the 2 Unique Corvette Car Show and treat yourself to great food such as hot dogs, funnel cakes or ice cream. What's a July 4th celebration without fireworks? Be sure to stick around after dark for the large fireworks display!
4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Where: Centennial Olympic Park
When: July 4th - Starts at Noon
Arrive at the Park early to secure a good seat and enjoy fun for the whole family! Children's activities are in the south end of the Park around the Fountain of Rings from noon to 5 p.m. Entertainment includes arts and crafts, face painting, performances, inflatables, stilt walkers and more! Or families can relax on the Great Lawn and splash in the world famous Fountain of Rings.
The free musical entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with a finale by the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO). The evening ends with the AirTran Airways Fireworks Spectacular, Atlanta's best fireworks display synchronized to a special selection of patriotic music.
GWINNETT GLOWS
Where: Historic Courthouse Square in Downtown Lawrenceville
When: July 4th
The event features arts and crafts, free children's activities, and a live band. Children can enjoy clowns, face painting, a fire juggler, trackless train rides, rock climbing wall, pony rides, and live appearances from some of their favorite characters.
JULY 4TH FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
Where: Roswell High School
When: Friday, July 4, 2008 4:30 PM
Free: On Friday, July 4th bring the whole family to Roswell High School (a drug, alcohol & Tobacco free zone). A carnival with large inflatables, cotton candy, balloon animals, sno cones, sand art and more will begin at 4:30pm. For entertainment, fun and fireworks.

Where: Unicoi State Park and Lodge

Come to the mountains for a watermelon eatin' and seed spittin' contest, sack races, relays and more. $3 parking.
